Coach Schluter’s Summer Basketball Camps

Coach Pat Schluter: Big Cat Basketball League Director, Coached St. James CYO Girls 8th Grade Champions, Coached Michigan Shock U-15 AAU State Champions, Individual Basketball Instructor, Former Novi High School Boys Varsity Basketball Coach for 15 years (2002-2003 Coach of the Year), Former Collegiate Player and Coach from Saginaw Valley State University, and 30 years of Coaching/Camp Director experience. Camps are for the 2026 (fall) school year grades.

Coach Schluter’s Boys Basketball Camp

Participants will receive knowledge of the game and work on skill development. Emphasis will be placed on
all phases of the game including dribbling, shooting, pivoting, passing, rebounding, team play, sportsmanship, and defensive/offensive concepts. Students will be grouped according to age and ability. All participants will receive a T-shirt.

Coach Schluter’s Boys & Girls Shooting Camp

This shooting camp will be packed with instruction, techniques, and drills for players to become better shooters. Emphasis will be placed on 3-point shooting, free throws, shooting off the dribble, and spot up shooting. Awards will be given to shooting contest winners. All participants will receive a T-shirt.

Coach Schluter’s Boys & Girls (K-3 Grade) Basketball Camp

Campers will learn basic basketball skills and knowledge of the game. Emphasis will be placed on dribbling,
pivoting, passing, lay-ups and shooting. Baskets will be lowered. All participants will receive a T-shirt.

  • I hereby acknowledge that participation in this basketball camp involves an inherent risk of physical injury. In consideration of this registration being accepted I hereby for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators and assignees, waive any and all rights and claims for damages and losses I may have against Novi Community School District, all Area 4 Star basketball Camp, Coach Schluter's Basketball Camp and camp staff(coaches, trainers, volunteers) for any and all losses or injuries suffered by myself and/or my child during the life of this program. My child is in good health and is covered by my insurance for any injuries that he or she might sustain while participating in the camp. I authorize the camp staff to act for me in their best judgment in the event of any emergency requiring immediate attention. All refunds requested prior to the start of camp will be granted $100. All refunds requested the first day of camp or later will not be refunded. For the Kindergarten and Shooting Camp, all refunds requested prior to the start of camp will be granted $50.00. All refunds requested on the first day of camp or later will not be refunded. I approve for pictures of my son/daughter to be posted on the Coach Schluter Basketball Camp website.
